Presenting the Best of The Candidate Report

This month marks not only the end of 2007, but also the 15th issue of The Candidate Report newsletter.  For a little over a year now, we’ve done our best to provide practical and timely career advice for people just like you—and we hope that we’ve achieved what we set out to accomplish.

We’ve been very pleased by the feedback that we’ve received from readers since we began The Candidate Report.  That feedback has been thoughtful, full of insight, and extremely helpful in guiding us through our growing process.  In addition, your feedback has allowed us to select the “best of” our newsletter during the first 15 issues.

The “best of” consists of five of our previous articles (although some, which were originally published as a series, are being presented in their entirety now).  The five articles that we chose are listed below:

  • “Diffusing Culture Shock”Maybe the work is what you thought it was going to be, but the company’s culture is radically different from what you’re used to.  Now what?
  • “Mentoring” SeriesThis three-part series focuses on the entire process, from finding a mentor, to working with them, and then to maintaining the relationship after the mentorship is over.

Once again, thanks very much for being a loyal reader of The Candidate Report.  And remember, we want to know what interests you.  If have suggestions for future topics, please be sure to send them to us for consideration.  We’re currently putting together our articles for the first half of next year, and we’d love your input and feedback.
